The Create@Alibaba Cloud Startup Contest (CACSC) USA is an entrepreneur contest organized by Alibaba Cloud and co-hosted with Hanhai Investment Inc.
10 teams are selected from hundreds of applications to showcase their startup ideas at this event on September 16th. These teams represent multiple technology sectors and will compete for the USA regional winner. Besides receiving generous funding from Hanhai Investment Inc. and Cloud computing credit from Alibaba Cloud, the top2 teams will also receive a round-trip direct flight ticket to/from the CACSC World
Championship to be held in Shanghai, China.

2017 CACSC North America FINALIST

5. Neuro Leap's unique and scalable educational device that is empowered with cloud-based artificial intelligence, optimizes assessment and intervention/training, and thereby accelerates children's learning progress by 50%.
6. At Apostle, we are dedicated to developing innovative technologies to detect cancer early, when it can be cured.
7. SIDA: Higher Efficient, Lower Cost and More Accurate Medical Image Diagnosis with Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning.
8. Rancard delivers social recommendations technology for online retail and places via Rendezvous, a social graph with AI-enabled interfaces.
9. BuildSimHub is a platform for optimizing building energy modeling process for new buildings and retrofitting projects, shortening the modeling cycle by up to 50%.
10. Data Jaguar patented, innovated technology breaks through a barrier in database expansion and reach 100,000 times faster scaling speed than traditional database and common used big data database on the market.
2016 CACSC North America
Alibaba Cloud has successfully launched the CASCS Silicon Valley at the Stanford University on September 10, 2016. This event is co-hosted with Alibaba Cloud’s primary ecosystem partner, Hanhai Investment Inc. 12 teams were selected from over a hundred applications to compete for two regional winner spots on stage.
There were over 110 guests attending the event, including Junming WANG, which is Science and Technology Counsellor from the Cousulate of P.R. China in San Francisco, and several media including China Dailly and Sina North America.
Although this is the Silicon Valley stop, the event attracts teams coming from other part of the North America, including Boston, Indianapolis and Vancouver. All 12 teams had very strong business model across various industries: Biotech, Gaming, Big Data, Machine Learning, Fintech and Saas.
Two teams stood out from the crowd and became the Silicon Valley winners: XtalPi (1st Place) and Vibronix (2nd Place).
2016 CACSC WORLD FINAL
The 2016 Create@Alibaba Cloud Startup Contest (CACSC) world championship was held on the last day of the 2016 Hangzhou Cloud Conference on October 16. The site was fully packed throughout the day. Ultimately, the XtalPi team from the U.S. Silicon Valley division took home the grand prize.
This contest officially started in June 2016 and ended in mid-October. Over a span of 4 months, the contest collected a total of 1,517 effective business plans from 7 international divisions and 9 domestic divisions. Finally, 19 teams were shortlisted for the world championship in Hangzhou. These teams presented products in a wide range of areas including big data applications, smart hardware, cybersecurity, AI, and VR. The entries included both conceptual projects based on cutting-edge technology and quasi-mature products with clear business plans.
On the day of the contest, Chinese and foreign projects were successively demonstrate onstage, interspersed with presentations by Alibaba Cloud, well-known investment institutions, and distinguished makers. The event attracted an onsite audience of over 700 and over 600,000 online viewers.
