I am the third owner and purchased the car from a dealer in October 2017 at mileage 78,697. The first owner was a car rental agency and the second owner was an individual. The current mileage is at 100,600, and I am still driving the car until the car is sold.
I used the car primarly for daily commute and business trips around the Bay Area. The car is very reliable with barely any mechanical problems. The gas and brake paddles are a little soft and insensitive, which I prefer but some people may not like it.
Maintainence & Repair:
• The next oil change is due at mileage 102,600. I did the regular oil change around every 5,000 miles.
• The airbag was replaced on July 6, 2018 at a Mazda's authorized dealer, due to manufactur's safety recall, and the rear brakes were replaced on the same day.
• The sparkling plugs were replaced on August 31, 2018 at a local mechanic.
• All four tires were newly changed on January 12, 2019 (brand: Falken).
• The left rear view mirror and the trunk were replaced in January 2018 and November 2018, respectively, due to hitting on objects in parking lots. Other than that the car was not involved in any accidents during my ownership.
• The annual registration is expiring on March 16, 2019. The new owner needs to pay the upcoming annual registration fee (~$200).
Defects:
• The right front wheel cover is missing.
• Two craters on front windshield hit by tiny objects during driving. This does not affect the durability of the window.
• There are light scratches on the body of the car (refer to photos for details).
• The covers of front headlights are cloaked and atomized with a low light transmittance for low beam lights. It was in such condition when I bought the car, and I haven't repaired as high beam lights are still sufficient for night driving when the visability is low.
• The support frames of the trunk are aged, thus the trunk has to be lifted manually to open. It was in such condition when I bought the car, and I haven't replaced the support frames.
