CA SCA-5 was a wake-up call to the Asian American communities. Many of us realized that it is not enough to be just hard working and dedicated to our families. It is equally important to participate in the political process and have a strong voice in this society! Then, the question is how? You may wonder: How the election process is like at the federal, state and local levels? What does midterm election mean? When is the Election Day? How and where to vote? How to find useful and reliable information about the propositions, local measures and candidates? How to participate in political activities as an average citizen and influence politicians? If you want to find out the answers to these questions, please come to an educational seminar titled “Elections, Politics and How You Can Participate?” hosted by PKUANNC’s Political Event Workgroup.
We are excited to have three distinguished political activists in our Chinese American community to be our speakers: Mr. Otto Lee, Mr. Albert Wang and Mr. Ray Su. They will share their knowledge and experience in political systems, election process, and grass-root activities, etc. For speakers' bio, please visit the RSVP link below.
This seminar is a non-partisan, introductory level education on elections and politics, free and open to the general public. Dinner will be provided.
