Crossing the Chasm for StartupsDate
February 4, 2015, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Venue: CFLD Incubator, 1172 Castro Street, Mountain View
Facebook paid $19 billion for WhatsApp, averagely $40 per WhatsApp user, and $1 billion for Instagram. Dropcam was acquired by Google's Nest Labs for $555 million. Xiaomi, known for its low-priced smartphone, just became the world’s most valuable technology start-up with a valuation of over $46 billion. Interestingly, all these companies are less than 6 years old! What do they have in common? You may come up with different answers; but one thing they all share is the huge amount of users and customers. How have they crossed the chasm, a concept that Geoffrey Moore proposed twenty years ago?
In the very first CHAIN Founders Group event of 2015, we have lined up a group of seasoned entrepreneurs and investors to share their ideas and experiences. They will touch upon topics that include the marketing fundamentals, the acquisition of the early users, as well as millions of users later on.
It will be a fun and thought-provoking evening, and we look forward to your participation! This event is co-hosted by CHAIN and CFLD US Incubator Service (China Fortune Land Development Co, Ltd).
